This is a vibrant painting of the Thames in bright sunlight, based on sketches and photographs taken on Waterloo Bridge. I wanted this painting to be primarily about colour and it is painted in a loose, impressionistic style. Close up there are layers and layers of blues which combine at a distance to give the effect of sky and water. This painting is in oils on a deep edge box canvas with painted sides and does not require framing. 51 cm x 51 cm. Oil on deep edge box canvas.
