Biography
Joolz is a willow sculptor based in Somerset and has been sculpting for about 12 years. Most of her commissions are animal based but she has been asked to make human figures too. Joolz makes a steel frame work as an essential 'sketch' of the subject and then weaves the willow on to this. The steel frame enables her to achieve greater detail and strength. Sculptures are more than happy outside all year round. They need to be oiled regularly (a quick and simple procedure) and they will last upwards of 15 years. Joolz can create anything from a Dragon to a Penguin, a Unicorn to a Fox, a Chicken to a Bear, a Stag to a Troll......indulge your imagination!
