I particularly enjoyed working on this little fellow - I wanted to convey the movement of the blades of wild grass and so used a combination of fast paced dry and wet brush strokes, building up multiple layers with an impasto effect in places. This results in energy and light just radiating from the painting, making it a joy to touch as well as look at.
