Commission was to paint a portrait that replaced the face mask (main reference photo) with the young man's face in profile, as in smaller reference photo. Additional photos were supplied in order to enable me to achieve an accurate likeness. I was asked to feature the ceremonial flag, along with an indication of the man standing alongside main subject.
