'Self Portrait in Pink'

A self-portrait which is a departure from my usual practice, and an exploration of how things like texture can stand in for value, and how little a shape needs to be legible. Starting from strategically sanded/roughened gesso, it is painted in an incredibly high key with almost entirely a 3 color restricted palette
