For the next of my fairytale characters I wanted to try The Little Mermaid. I wanted to give her fish-like features in her face as well as her tail, so I used her ears and eye makeup to do this. I added the dagger at the base of the boarder, as even though it’s not a well know part of the story, it’s quite important in the original. I tried to make it look it as if she were underwater looking up, as her longing to be on the surface is what the story is based around.
