Biography
I have worked as an independent artist designer since student days at Oxford’s Ruskin School of Art in the 1970s. I am a member of The Devon Guild of Craftsmen, Artist Member of the Royal Western Academy, Visiting Tutor at West Dean College. Artist in Residence at The Royal Shakespeare Company, and the Globe Theatre in 2000, and The Museum of Bermuda Art in 2009. I have exhibited widely from The Royal Academy's Summer Shows to the Royal Western Academy's Autumn Show, the Bath Contemporary Art Fair, The Chelsea Arts Club, The Malvern Festival, The Arnolfini in Bristol. My work is in various collections including the V&A, Christchurch & Trinity Colleges, and the Museum of Bermuda Art. I co-founded the first Open Studio Weeks in Britain in 1983, in Oxfordshire, and the Lyme Regis ArtsFest in 2003.
