I painted this much-loved scene based on the many sketches and photographs I've taken of the dramatic red earth landscape near Peyrolles in the Occitanie region of southern France (formerly Languedoc-Roussillon). It's not unlike Sedona in Arizona, another place that is close to my heart. This painting comes ready to hang in a lightly waxed pale wood frame that sets off the artwork beautifully.
