'A picture of Yesteryear Sold'

Commissioned work. This painting was a birthday present for my client's wife. It was of her father who worked as a miner in the coalfields in the 1970's. I managed to do the painting from the photo's provided but had to find images of clothing and of the pit where he worked, to incorporate in the artwork. The lady was delighted with the finished result, as it brought back many happy memories of her late dad.
